Panic took over
The chair flew across the hall
The phone
And the voice it brought with it
Would die
But, much to her surprise
Various wires leapt up off the floor
Slapping the chair askew from its target
The voice laughed
An audible click
Surfacing between each chuckle
"It's no use"
The voice told her
She ran to the phone jack
Only to find wires
Tangled around her delicate legs
The laughter stopped
Again, the breathing came
With a click inbetween each rhaspy breathe
The mass of wires arranged itself
Beneath the phone
Lifting it
Moving it
They were alive
Somehow
They were all alive
The green light flooded over Shari's face
With every jagged breath that the voice forced
It got closer to the woman on the floor
She could feel the wires wrap around her ankles
But she could no longer feel her feet
"What do you want from me?"
A stereotypical question in this situation
She figured
Yet, she couldn't help the tears from screaming
From her eyes
"Do you love us, Shari?"
Wires crept
The tickled the back of her thighs
Her breathe was stolen from her
As though she'd hopped into a freezing pool
Wires constricted around her shins
As they'd done to her ankles
"Do you?"
The phone was slanted
Much like her inquisitive puppy's face
Who would be waiting for her to get home
"No" she whispered
The darkness around her
Menaced it's way closer
The walls were crawling with snakes,
Wires that had come to life
Controlled by some nerve center
The voice
That was the nerve center
But what was it
"Do you love us?"
Through sobs so shook her head
In response
Wires whipped the back of her legs
Drawing blood
Then they were wrapped around her
All the way up to her crotch
Squeezing
Disallowing the blood to flow
Wires tickled the rest of her body
Some frolicked with her hair
While others began to rip her clothing
The phone was less that two inches from her face
"Why don't you love us, Shari?"
She sobbed
A slight prick was felt in her leg;
A wire breaking the skin and entering a vein
She could feel it wriggling inside
And wanted to vomit
Others entered
Filling her lower half with more wires
Until there was more metal inside of her
Than there was human
The phone looked angry
"Do you love us?"
Wires wrapped around her
Until they reached her breasts
They waited for a response
Through sobs it came
"Yes"
She was beaten
She allowed her body to go limp
Cords wrapped themselves up to her neck
Piercing her skin
As they attempted to become one with her
The phone smiled
"You are the first of many
Our prized puppet
We love you, Shari
And now you love us
Together
Everything is ours
Forever"
She couldn't breathe anymore
And her heart was no longer beating from it's own accord
The walls grew closer, finishing her cocoon
The only part of her that was not covered with a foot thick layer of wire
Was her head
Her hair was replaced
As wires crept into her mouth
And down her throat
A final tear slid down her cheek as wires entered the sides of her eyes
As they slid inside her ears
She no longer heard the voice
But felt it
Inside of her
There was nothing left of her
She was it
And it was now her
"Forever"
It told her
"Forever"
Altho I haven't read the others, this one I bet is the best.. Great job, it seems like an awesome story thingy/poem.. lol
